« on: January 13, 2008, 07:16:03 pm »
Does any of you other polers suffer from this,i`ve noticed this over the past few months experiencing a pain that can only be described as a feeling like you`ve done to many situps.Over time it can feel like stomach ache though when rested say over the weekend it calms down a bit.Cheers in advance.

Don't want to scare monger but it might be a tumour or something.   Seriously I would get that checked out - we don't normally feel pain in the guts.

Using the pole sideways on over reaching with your arms above your chest/waist may cause this. But as Rosy said check it out.

NWH: you may be overstreching with your pole whilst you are working without being conscienciously aware. If you are constantly rushing all the time at work, you may be developing poorer WFP method techniques in order to complete the jobs without realising. Your body has a natural ability to tell you something is wrong.

I do feel like i am rushing at work, thinking about it i am on the go all the time at work and hardly ever stop for something to eat.I`m going to try using the superlite and see how i get on with that,i can remember using that pole for nearly all my work and hardly ever over stretched,i`ll try keeping my arms below my waste when using the pole,it feels like i`ve twisted my gut.

Personaly, ( best mate  :P ) I'd put it down to being a fat b***ard!, or more politely- obese!

A few days with J.Demarco or a session with marjorie daws from fat fighters should sort you out though! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

(sorry dude, couldn't resist )

Cruel to be kind, eh?

I think stomach pains I would be pooting myself.... get a cat scan or something.      Drink lots of water/eat plenty of fish, but get a xray of some sort.

Shoulders and elbow joints hurt on me, sometimes biceps, but never stomach. ???

Doesn't sound right mate.
Think about everything else you do, it might not be work related.

Me too Squeaks mate ;D
Upper back muscles constantly hurt, and my biceps are too big so I'm a bit muscle bound.

The stomach muscles are used to raise the knees(sprinting), the only other damage is stretching(leaning back or coughing or sneezing- or don't ignore a constant cold draught on the stomach)
