help-connector on di snapped and lost

hi ive snapped the plastic hose connector on my di vessel (water in)and have lost the bit that snapped off,does anyone reckon i could make a diy replacement and stick it on

Happened to mine, you have to get a new 1 cos of the pressure!

when mine went i couldnt find one anywhere, had to order of a supplier.

when you fit it, dont forget your ptfe tape!!!

that looks like it luke its snapped halfway,can you unscrew these from the vessel lid-it seemed sealed in to me-how much was it mick

Only a couple of pounds, get 2 when you get it, you never know!!

they just scew out, i didnt have any probs getting mine out.

No its not sealed, its the white stuff ( ptfe tape ). Just unscrew it, get another, put ptfe tape all around the thread for a tight fit and screw it in. I had the same problem, I know carry two spare fittings just incase, Luke

Mine seems to have a normal tap connecter - i just put brass fittings on this morning.

When you do get a replacement, I suggest getting the black ones.  Instead of being round, they have a hexagonal shape at the end onto which you can fit a spanner.  Make sure you use PTFE tape when you replace it.  Alternatively, you can get a brass version though I don't think they have the hexagonal shape at the end.
