Hi Alan,
If i worked this out right you do 8 hrs per week for £55. That works out at £6.90 per hour. Surprised all the high price guys haven't jumped on you by now lol. I work for a company with an average rate of £9 p/h for commercial retail and they survive,
Regards,
Ron

Sorry, I must have had my mind on other things when I posted my original message.

We do two hours on Wednesday and two hours on Friday - that's one hour each times two people - four hours a week. If we really got a bat on, we could do it in 45-50 minutes, but it's the last clean each day and we've usually had enough by then.

 :)

Hope that clears it up.

Hi all, got a phone call yesterday to confirm I got the contract for the office clean(yippee), hopefully should take between 3-4 hrs per wk, Im doing it on my own but my partner will help out the odd time, we are doing a blitz clean 1st to get it ship shape.  Just wondered if anybody knew the best product to sanitise telephones with? & what do you guys use for comp screens & keyboards?.  Cheers Nat1 :)

Make sure your insurance covers you for computers and screens, I think you'll find as a general rule most cleaning companies don't touch them!!!

You should be looking fo at least £15.00 per hour because you have to take into account

Insurance, Travel Costs,Profit from Contract etc ???

My staff are instructed not to touch any parts of a computer unless asked to do so. Pull a cable out or press a key on a computer that is switched on and you could have serious problems.

Thanks all, I will check insurance regarding computer screens etc, Im charging £50 for the 3/4 hrs it's not the biggest of offices so once in the swing of things should hopefully only take the 3 hrs, also it's literally round the corner from my house so will not be using much petrol.Nat1

Agree with Gary, it's just not worth the hassle or the possible things that can go wrong.
There's people that specialise in this type of cleaning. Leave it to them.
