GEORGE...WHICH PDA IS BEST??
« on: January 06, 2008, 02:39:24 pm »
Having decided to go the George route for organising my round more effectively, I've been having a Google around for PDA's...

There as a plethora of choice though ???

I don't want to pay over £200 for one, but who out there using George can recommend a good make and model?

Will George run on all PDA's, or will I have to be careful to get one with the right operating system??

Cheers Dean,
Is it one with a touch screen stylus?

That is one of the ones I've been looking at...

Ian, if you only want a pda to run george on, jus t get a cheap one from ebay, you should be able to get for about£20/25 plus p&P and it will be more than up to the job. I recomend a palm m130.  ;)
I can remember when waking up stiff in the morning was a good thing.

So can you run George on more makes than just Palm?
Or is the Zire 31 a palm model?

I'm happy to get a new one, no more than £200 though.

Is the guy on Ebay legit? You know, guarantees and so on?

Hi Ian

The Zire operates on palm operating system 3. To run george it has to be 3 or higher.

Paul used the zire palm to develop the george system on.

I've just had a quick look at the George website, When you buy george for the computer, how much more is it for the palmtop program? I couldn't see a price...

You only need a basic Zire, you can give one to each employee and George will handle it. No extra charge.
Just cost me only £12 to renew the internet back up service for another year.

Hi Ian

I'm looking to get a new pda and have seen that they do a plam z22 in argos fo£79.79, Ive emailed the guy at george to see if will run the pocket version ( I think it will but wanted to make sure.

At the end of the day I'll have in my pocket I don't want anything to pricey.

Regards
