wfp....how much quicker ?
« on: January 05, 2008, 07:59:39 pm »
After seeing all the posts on here most say that wfp is faster ! How do you quantify that ? Surely if you only had the odd house spread apart it would be a pain to set up ? Could understand if you had a commercial site that had lots of windows . so how is it quicker  ?

i would say around 50% quicker with wfp . its slower to start with on initial cleans but once these are out of the way you then start to pick up speed . ive done both trad & wfp . to set up even on a single house only takes a few seconds . so my opinion is wfp is quicker but slower to start with .
where theres muck theres money

I was slow traditional (i cleaned frames, wiped the edges then scrimmed, overall taking about 25 mins per house).

I can do the same house in 12 mins with WFP again, cleaning the frames and sills,

If I just did the glass?  Maybe 8 mins or so...

i worked with a company using the pole, i was doing avearage 20 jobs a day 5 days a week, totaling 1000pounds a week, leaving my house at 8am and back home a 3pm every day. very feasible. i have since left to work for my self and am building the round up currently.  only on 100pound a day n ive only been canvassing 2 months.   well worth it.........

There is only one way to find out if you are sceptical.

Find a window cleaner trade and one wfp. Try and spend a day, 1/2 day with each.

You will then understand the concept of each.

With wfp you can waist a lot of time if you dont no what you are doing.

(If you are trad already then please accept apologies).

I know that the work that was a 6 week plod for me the trad way became a less than 4 week plod once I had been around a few times with WFP.  It can be hard to quantify on smaller individual jobs but if you look at the overall times it is easier to get an idea of how much quicker it is.
