Trad pole worker:

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5545186129601180005&q=window+cleaning+pole&total=20&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=5

I've cleaned before like that.  It can get really laborious if the run of windows is long.  I wanted to see how he got on further to the right because it looked like the windows were set back further there.  I don't think the way he did it was producing good results.  He appeared to be soaping up right to the top of the window, wasn't cutting in at all, and didn't appear to be angling the squeegee on the downward strokes which means the trail of fluid wouldn't necessarily leave the squeegee on the side he was working toward.  I think he should have tapped the squeegee out on the glass between strokes too.

That'll leave a dreadful mess at the top.
It just isn't possible to do it accurately without a ladder.

I can do a decent job using a similar method on a shop front when I'm only poling the top part of the window (and doing the part I can reach in the normal manner).  However, that is only a very short distance so the pole is easier to control.

I don`t agree there Sqeaky. It can be done well without a ladder.
Funnily enough the fella in the video is making a reasonable job
Under the circumstances.Oaky, the pole is very `bendy` and `whippy`.
There looks to be a sill of sorts that’s just not shallow enough to take
An `Ettore` Back flip.He just needs a `LedgerMate` attached to a `Ledger`.
At the end of the day it just takes practise, practise, and some more practise.
I`ve been WFP now for about 4 years.Prior to that I was about 3 years
Cleaning just the way this fella is in the video. For poling `trad` the
`LedgerMate` was and still is my favourite tool.

P.S. No I`m not an agent for Peter Fogwills company .

Not criticizing how well he cleaned them. But.

Did any of you notice that the windows had already been soaped up first?

Compare the first window when lathered up to the others, there not dirty, just soapy.

Hi Lewis

Is Peter still selling ledgermates?

I am getting more and more high work inside. I am looking at getting a Pro-10. Might like to try out a ledgermate.

Hi Steve,if ya wanted one ya might have to go thru` Cleaning Systems in Ipswich.
They never really `took off` in this country. At the time, they were more popular in
The USA.Peter once told me that they “were ahead of their time”.The quality control
Was`nt too brilliant when made, that’s because Peter lost interest.
