Think you'll be surprised how well these pub carpets come up.
I'd pre-spray Champion and agitate that in. Some of these black top's come out easy, some you'll need to go over a few times.
No doubt someone will recommend something else in a minute but Champion is a good start, and you can wash your car with it as well.

You could pre spray with Prochem Power Burst (use hot water to mix) then extract with Crystal Green. Final Spray with Fibre & Fabric Rinse

I've got a similar job to do on Friday, we do it twice a year and it's the same everytime, lots of grease straight out of the kitchen area onto the carpet and then trampled right through the pub into the bar area.

This will be the first time it's been cleaned using the TM.

Did two houses today, end of tenancies, both well trashed carpets, vacced throughout, pre-sprayed with Blitz, allowed 10 min dwell and extracted with my Prowler at 400psi.............bootiful results  ;D

Oh, it's good to be back earning again. :)

This type of soiling is one which benefits enourmously from heat, both the pre-spray and the rinse. I often find a solvent booster in the pre-spray useful too.

As long as you have equipment that agitates well, a rotary or CRB machine, there is rarely any need to move away from Woolsafe products, even with most blacktop. But if you deem high pH and/or alkalinity to be the only tool capable of performing on that particular job, so be it (subject to testing).  As long as the pre-treatment and agitation are good, a hot acid rinse in the tank should perform admirably.

Safe and happy cleaning :)

Vac, micro splitter agitated in using a Charly pad or similar, extract using high heat with pure clean or just water, it should come up fairly easily.

Your blacktop doesn’t look that bad.

Make sure customer moves furniture and vacs!

Pre spray with you favourite, give it dwell time (some times more), extract with your favourite rinse agent. Job done.

Take care near the seams/gaffa tape, quantify with customer.

Sorry if I made it sound too easy but it is as simple as that.

I've done pub carpets with HUGE amounts of blacktop and they have all come good.
Just follow what has already been said - it will work.
