Accident & sickness insurance

Does anybody know out there the best and most competitive company for Accident & sickness insurance?

I don't know now but when I looked into it a few years ago they were all so expensive in terms of what you paid in compared to what you got out they weren't worth it. This is particularly true for sickness cover. Also, there are so many strings attached. They don't just make up your pay if you are off for a couple of weeks with bad flu.

The bloke on the radio who talks about how to save money on things like this says its often better to "self insure" in other words put money away yourself. As long as you are sensible and dicipline yourself to do so.
That way, if you are lucky and don't have any illness the money is still in your control. Paying it to the insurance company is like watching it disappear into a black hole.

use CICA I think thats what they are called combined Insurance company of America, £35 a month, they pay out quite fast aswell, I thank my lucky starts I set this up about 6 years ago now have claimed twice the last time I was off for a month and still not right now that was a year ago.

If you have a family get yourself covered.
