Citroen Relay 650L tank
« on: December 21, 2007, 11:04:21 pm »
Hi All
Just got a 650l upright tank from  Gardiners for my Relay SWB van.
What is the best way to fit it please, ie width ways or length ways?
Thanks

Just noticed the corsa van in the background so why not strap that to the top of your van put a tank inside that and another on top and while you are at it get a trailer then you can work through the night in fact we should all do that and by this time next year we'll be millionaires!!

thats not a bad idea actually! i was thinking more of a weld the 2 vans together, rear to rear then 1 van could drive up a drive, then the other one could drive out, no worries about turning the vans around, so, thats 2000 litres per van.

4000 litres should just about last a morning

That pic was when it was first done lol, looks nothing like that now    ::)

I have to say that the outside still looks the same, I clean it most days  ;D even when it is raining, as this is my advert a dirty van gives a bad impression IMO  ;)

Hi All
Thanks for your replies - and thanks especially to Ian for taking the trouble to include a couple of pictures of his setup. It's much appreciated.
Thanks again

Fitting that size tank legnth ways has taken up all the room in your van,god knows why they fitted it that way round,it`s only given you a bit of room dowm the sides of the tank.

If wanted to go hot you don`t have the room, where`s if that was fitted the other way which nearly all 650`s are you would.

would not know to be honest as not looked into the size of hot unit.
I did not want it the other way round as I would not have been able to use side door like I can, and I use it everyday.

Each to there own my van works for me.

can we look at yours ?
