What plans do you have for 2008,.

I plan a revamp of my van, new carbon poles and new uniforms as they are now 2yrs old.

I also will see what a new van and hot water system will be and run 2 vans, one for my son and daughter.

I have to go Vat reg this next year as my turn over has gone way up.

What about you what are your plans.

Mine is to not read what Roy Harding or Ian Giles write, as it just depresses me. :(

Aims for 2008, other than the normal be happy, not worry so much etc, etc.

Gain 100 new accounts at the same rates or better.
Reach PA turnover target.
Reach Weekly targets in most round 'areas'.
Continue growing (or better) as 2006/2007.

Thats the wfp side...anyhow....now just need enough customers so I can buy a boat...

Dave.

It would have to be decent stand-alone jobs.
I don't want to get involved in more estates, especially down there. :-\

If you've priced them, then they'd be worth it though. ;D

Become fully uniformed, adopt WFP for a fair proportion of my round and invest in a new (second-hand, @ £3,000) van.

I have a few targets for next year the first being to get a new van and system something to work towards
I also want to double the amount of commercial work that currently earns me the equivelant of a weeks money over four weeks and what i call my large residential work this i want to double aswell not quite a weeks money
And i want to earn a much as this year in 8 weeks less as that is what i am on course for this tax year
Thats just for starters i will probably add more targets as the year goes on

I need a nice pretty new van definately  - i think a Peugeot expert 2.0 HDI 900KG would be good - from Lukes comments on his.

Aiming for 200 customers for full capacity by early next year - its been slow picking up new ones at the moment.

I also want to employ/work with a friend of mine, so we can both earn more.
Then our capacity will be about 350 customers. Some comercial contracts would be nice - ive been posting to new build areas, schools, and some office blocks and elderly homes.

& hot water system by this time next year hopefully.

To turnover a little more in 2008/9 in a little less time than I do in 2007/8.

I think that some custy's will be feeling a financial pinch and so will probably not go for a price increase on many of them.

Will buy a new pole in Feb/March just before the tax year is up - so Alex might want to try and persuade me to get one of his!

Thinking of a DIY water heater next autumn for winter.
It's a game of three halves!

Gain another 100 custies to take me to 400, by the summer.

On a personal note.....save enough for a deposit on a house!

And see the end of the house extensions/conversion

My goal is to have a better year than 2007.

Son back in hospital, now on a type of chemo therepy.
Wife should have had her operation for kidney stone early in 08, she has suffered for over a year.
She is on Pethedine, usually 3 doses a day and is mostly "a bit out of it".
We have had over 30 day trips to the hospital and we are a bit fed with it now!

As for work, just try to keep at it, enjoy my new Truck and pay back what i've lost this year!!!

Yeh good luck!! :) Hope your wife and son get better soon! :)

As for me... my plans are slightly more materialistic.... am up to speed with WFP now and earning lots more in less time, so (once my pump is fixed:P) I plan saving up for a new van, expanding into a couple of different areas and maybe taking on a mate who needs some extra work. Might try and get one or two commercial contracts :) AND... I'd like to start saving for a mortgage deposit!! :)

good luck bear

my goals are to have one full time employer and to raise turnover by about 35%, mainly commercial.

going to do a month of hitting certain areas and using different marketing methods to try and achieve the bulk of this.

do my absailing course(if i dont poop my self first)

train  on operating a carpet cleaning machine and buy one.

the list could be endless but bring it on!! 8)

Good luck for 2008 Bear.

My goal is pretty simple - increase my small round by 50% at the same pricing as is in place already.
Do all the good you can, and make as little fuss about it as possible.
