Anyone Heard of CIS?
« on: November 18, 2004, 03:59:35 pm »
Had a call today from a company called cis.

 www.salesleads.co.uk

They seem to think they can find me  120 commercial contracts for £495.

Anyone heard of them or had any experience of them?

Did u mean contacts or contracts and is the £495 inc or ex vat.
At £4.125 per contract you should buy up all that they can supply and re sell them by value to the rest of us ( giving a suitable members discount of course).
Realistically speaking offer them a reverse deal, tell them that you are not willing to pay £495  or £4.125 each for your 120 contracts, but you will however pay them 5% of every contract they get you on completion, if there service is that good they will snatch your hand off and run all the way to the bank.

hmm   could of been contacts as I was on my mobile. I did ask if they worked on commision and he said they used to charge % on each job, not sure what it was.

They are suppose to know who are moving into new buildings being built months before people move in, you get your quote in before your competitors.

I am always suspicious of these type of things.

Martin forget it, if you want , i can provide you with 100 contacts in the business, they are all classed as sales leads as they will all use cleaning services at some point or another. Pay yourself the 500 and say from mon to fri this week i will do nothing but locate potential customers, the rewards will be worth it.

dave,

i agree mate, i was also advocating not getting involved, the chap at the top started the topic not me.

we had another two tenders hit the desk this morning, and really its just a paper exercise as the production director wants us on site.

third vehicle in the pipeline i think

Thanks for the replies guys, I decided against meeting one of their reps.

I'm always a bit suspicious about these things but I thought I'd ask to see if anyone had any good reports about them.

Rob,

Only just read this post and I'm over the moon mate you didn't go with them - Unfortunately, I went with them last year and it's a complete pile of crap!! You get a rep telling you if you don't convert 1 in 5 leads they will work with you as you're doing something wrong. 1st You will never hear from this guy again and won't be able to get hold of him even after leaving messages. 2nd the reports that you get are for extensions to buildings or new builds who already have cleaners or cleaning companies - this is classed as a cleaning lead :o

Maybe I just had a bad year with them but I spent 9 years as a sales rep will minimum results over 112% so I’m guessing I was ripped off.
