The two tone colour sounds right, not for you then. If your getting that much spray through the centre fan jets maybe turn the pressure down.

i think i see why the old pros have such a stack of brushes

its got to feel right    know how to handle it etc

using same waterpressure but addis bristles are much more dipersed

im used to central brush fanjets   rinse brush-on-glass

with vikan theres an even stream being pushed down giving a complete rinse

addis ..........water goes through the   not so dense tufts

Still using the Addis and because it's monofilament it is taking dirt out of the joins in upvc frames that my flocked Bentley won't touch. Haven't had a single bristle come out yet. If they could produce the same brush but double up the bristles it would be superb.

im lightening a Vikan ;)

the bentley is a nice and light bush, but the vikan is better if it was the same weight

so far, rubber surround off and cut a bit of the plastic away

ive lost 40 gramms, not much i know

40 grams feels like 160 at the End of a pole.

Just based on the photos

You have to admit that the Ionics latest or the Tucker look better than all those!

All need an 'X Factor' test in real life to find out which on actually cleans the glass best.

Performance on the pole is important, but the real test is how well it really cleans the glass.

So, I would say the Jury is still out...

I think the point being discussed is the effectiveness of the brush not it's looks.  If I had my own way I would stick to using a Vikan as I think they look the best, but I don't because having used most brushes on the market, I stick with the one that works the best at cleaning for me, even if it looks naff.

cheers for the advice

so far ive used a hacksaw, woodsaw and a angle grinder / disk cutter on it ;)

next plan it to router out the top of the brush with my router, i will get 100 g of it and then round all the cuts and sand them down

my last Vikan lasted me over 3 years and that would stil be going strong if it hadnt been wrecked with some oily hair product put on a window cill, so my thought is, make it light, then get it looking nice and that'll do me

bristles are held together with staples hence the hacksaw
router blade i'd say will be blunted for sure if it touches staples

Drill a hole between all of the bristles, that will take the weight down aswell.

Today I got the tucker out for a roof job. Then did windows. It is the best brush in the world!

I use an addis normally.

But the tucker is just the best.

All the rest can go in the bin.

Did you modify the tucker to have a thread? Luke
