WFP will bring you more money long term. Stick with it now you've started.
But be prepared for lots of problems along the way and always repairing little things and constantly spending out on your business. Best have backup for everything.
You will always be feeding the monster, but plan it right, take on lots of work and you should be ahead of trad earnings. Not as simple as most on here would have you believe.

Mate dont give in you could be making a mistake you have invested a great deal of money in this system you have to take all these mishaps in and learn from them
I too was in a similar situation two years ago when i started i picked up my trolley and was literally going to throw it i got so annoyed with it but it is all part of the learning curve
Is their anyone near to you that is wfp that can give you some hands on help?
Although your situation does highlight the warning of not getting caught up in the hype wfp does take some getting used to and should  go into it with your eyes wide open
Hope things get better for you and dont do anything too rash  :-\
Can anyone on here help him that is local?

Just a thought Neil but i got a 250 that i wanna expand on........if you wanna check out the dimensions i might do a straightforward swap. You'll be getting your 250l delivered straight to your door  ;) but i will need to know the dimensions beforehand. Mine's a gardiner 250l(unbaffled) upright.

Neil,

What RO have you got?  What's your input TDS? Do you run the water through a DI column before it goes into the IBC?  Is it  a pumped system, if not, what's your mains pressure?

Somewhere in the answers to the above is the root of your problem.

Cheers,

Ian

Agreed.  It shouldn't be difficult to track down where the problem lies.  Giving up on WFP which can earn so much more (even allowing for occasional problems) would be a massive mistake IMO.  I came close to going back to trad in the first few weeks as I had a load of teething troubles.  I'm so glad I didn't do it now.

Wfp is very easy to learn and use, yes you can have hic-ups along the way but any problen has a simple answer.

I have had high tds reading several times before when I shouldn't have.

The first one was because the water going though my di tank was going though to fast.  I turned the flow rate down and hey presto 000 readings.

The second one was the container that I used to test the water was dirty and it increased my tds reading.  Cleaned the container and the tds were back down to 000.

I have found that all the problems have had very simple answers.

You said you are down sizing and getting a smaller van, what happens if this kepts breaking down, do you give up trad cleaning or buy a trolley like "stan ogden" used.

Kept plugging away, you soon get though it.

nothing more frustrating than not earning money over some small stupid problem

Yes! this is what is making me not like wfp... if something goes wrong you are spend spend spend.. with trad you dont have to do this..

I'm seriously thinking of selling everything to do with wfp i have.. some people get on with it and some dont..

 :-\

Anyone looking for a wfp setup  :P

Don't despair. Failure cannot live with persistency.
Learn as much as possible from others on this site.
When you can afford spare parts like an extra DI cannister with some new resin in (would have sorted out your problem this morning in no time at all and with very little disturbance to your work routine).
Pre-preparation is the key to WFP.
Yes there's more to buy and more to maintain, etc, but it's worth it if you perservere :)
