Self cleaning glass?

How does it work? I have a conservatory roof to clean next week with this type of glass roof.

Two mechanical arms pop out ether side with a squeegee and applicator and clean them ... lol i can see this in years to come..


But i dont know the real way they work

Obviously it doesn't work or i woudn't need to clean it.

Very true! I think its just a blag to put more money on them.

If you asking how to clean them... You just clean them like you would normal windows..

I haven't a clue how they clean there self tho ???

i have a few hoses which have this glass its supposed to repel the rain . but it dont work its just a selling point for window companys . and when theres a great dollop of bird s**t on the glass then thats when you find out it aint self cleaning .

As said, chemical on the glass to repel.

Looked at a conservatory the other day with this glass.............3 months old and showing signs
of algi growth.

Clean with pur water so they cannot come back on you if there is a complaint to the window company.

You would be there 1st escape goat.

They can be murder to trad especially in the sun.and never use any kind of scraper or scrubby pad on them

thats just there selling point mate . im still cleaning custys houses with self clean glass as in there opinion it dont work .

I have one thats spent a fortune on a new build with these windows! and everytime i come there absoutly caked in c**p  ::)
