poorly backpack...warning USA ebay buyers
« on: November 15, 2007, 11:12:19 pm »
having some problems with it, it runs for 10 seconds and then cuts out, and only works when you unplug and reset it and still only for 10 secs

BUT as i bought mine for over here, its not a problem because its gettinig sorted

2 pence worth...they can go wrong...not saying they all do...but mine has. 6 months old. just be weary. you may have saved a few bob getting them overhere. but as far as i can see. im the one making the saving here

Unfortunate LWC,
but no need to dramatise your post with  "warning USA ebay buyers"

Well I hope they don't charge you coz if you'd done a search on here you'll find it's more than likely the battery that's the problem ;D

it just wasn't charged right,

but left it on for a few days, and made sure all the connections where connected, haven't had the problem since

I've had the same problem with my ebay USA backpack too. BUT it was nothing that a good 24 hour charge of the battery didn't sort out. I'm lazy and try and push my luck by not charging it for 3 or 4 days on the trot but eventually got fed up of that backfiring. At least every 2 days for me now. Give it a try  ;)

well considering i had 4 gel batteries to test it AND my van mount battery...i think you WILL find its the switch thank you very much

pump runs fine without the swtich connected with all my batteries. and switch connected seperalty it still flashes after 10 seconds.

hardly dramatising it...just letting people know they DO go wrong.

same thing happened with mine.
I just brought it in and let it dry off a bit. now it works fine. I think there must have been some water getting in by the pump when i fill it up. works a treat now with no problems

It is good getting it from the USA, I got mine for £116 all in, I wouldn't have had one if I'd have had to pay the UK's rip off prices, if it goes wrong , it goes wrong, tough on me. £40 to return it just aint an option :o
