Hi,

I know you've quoted for the resealing of the sports hall already. I just wanted to say that I have done several for a sports company and just wanted to forewarn you that it's a hard old job and you need to get it right or the sealer will pickle and blister. :o

Cleaning, machining, scrubber drying, pre-keying the surface and application of two coats of sealer which will have you floating on the ceiling if you don't wear a mask. The worst part is applying the sealer at a rate of approx 4-6 inches with each pass.
I said I'm going to wear a pedometer next time and charge them by the mile I've walked, because you walk quite a few  :'(

Oh, and if you do happen to slip over, (the sealer is like ice when wet) you may as well throw the clothes away as the sealer sets like concrete ! :(

I got the company to buy all the materials because the good stuff costs about £40 for 5 litres and at that price you don't need to have any left over.

Have fun  ;)

thanx les,

i never quote on something i dont know how to do, especially this kind of work, because if you get it wrong the resanding and relining is going to cos in excess of £30,000. :o

how much do you or have you chrged for the work, and where do you buy your stuff from, granguard mainly.

thanx jonny
