WFP & insect Poop!
« on: October 26, 2007, 05:56:09 am »
I'm about to change over to WFP, but today whilst cleaning (trad) and house that was covered in insect poo, made me think whether WFP would have removed it all.

There a good customer, but also expect perfectly clean windows , and frames.

I mean the windows, and frames were plastered in the stuff. I have to really soak them, squeegee, mop again, and even them use the damp scrim to removed the more baked on bits.

So, would WFP have removed the poop, or is that still a job for the mop & sqeegee?

Just interested to know it's limitations.

Thanks

I find it comes off easily if it's fresh but have had a lot of trouble removing stains from under spiders nests even by hand even with upvc cream.

The stains left on paintwork and UPVC by flies can often be next to impossible to remove without recourse to a cream cleaner.
But generally, spiders goo, nests, eggs and so on come off fine with WFP, there are times when (if its on a downstairs window) if you carry one of those abrasive kitchen pads (and not the ones that will leave sctatches behind!!) it is quicker to reach over and scrub off a particularly stubborn mark.

By and large though, it is quicker with WFP.

Like davew says, the mess that gets dumped from the spiders nests and ends up on the sills is virtually impossible to get off unless its fresh  :o, it gets ingrained into the upvc and even solvent cleaner only gets some of it off.

If only some customers would understand this ::)

I wish i had some on my sills at home then i could play around with different things to remove it like bleach perhaps. Daren't try anything unusual on a customers property,
