Cleaner windows

Does water fed pole really keep windows cleaner for longer.

Certain members dont think so, w/cers that have moved from trad to wfp have you found that the windows are cleaner when you return to clean them than they were when you were using trad methods.

Yes they do stay cleaner longer, even one of my custy's who lives on a main road used to pray for me to turn up on time when I was trad, now when I get there there just getting dirty and ready for another clean.

Some I go back to are still clean, but like LWCs said not to clean as to leave them.

It's a tough one, if the conditions are right then they do stay cleaner for longer. however, they still get dirty with rain if it's windy & blowing all the crap onto them.
Using pro' cleaning solutions like GG3 etc has a similar effect when trad cleaning IMO.

i would say that alot also depends on the location as some of my clients are by the woods and the windows facing that side are more than ready for a clean(4wkly) :)

I use to clean the busiest road in Torquay and can confirm WFP method does keep windows cleaner for longer than using the 'traditional' method 8)

A clean pane of glass is a clean pane of glass...whether it was cleaned trad of wfp and as a clean pane of glass will attract grime at the same rate.

Pure water isn't some kind of magical barrier against dirt.

No, but squeegeeing leaves a microscopic residue for dust to stick to.
Pure water pretty much sterilises the glass.

I've found they stay cleaner in general.
I haven't done mine for weeks, but they still look clean.

Is it because we havent had much wind lately ?

I dont think the windows stay cleaner, I will set up an experiment and report back

Dave:

I'll bet you a tenner WFP method on windows keeps glass cleaner than traditional method no matter how little detergent is used if you'll accept the bet :)

My windows deffinitely don't get as dirty between cleans. My wife noticed it even without me promting her. They still need cleaning, just don't get as dirty.

I've just been away for 2 weeks and had a reshuffle. Some houses today were 7 weeks and they were perfect. I also have a few places where i still have to do a few windows trad and the rest wfp and the trad ones are always much dirtier than the rest.

ifeel a bit embarrassed returning after 4or 6 weeks to find
clean sparkling windows
i use RO water for trad and 000 wfp
i wonder if theres some chemical i can dump into my wfp water
which will attract the dirt
birdnuts and flypoo i certainly get-but the general dirty elements-no

im concerned-the glass is so clean i feel that the customers
would rather i skipped it for this month because theyre
obviously not dirty
ive had a few permanent cancellations  i go back and ask why?
is it because i do a bad job? never
some say they dont see any difference between the cleans
whats the point in paying when theyre pretty much clean?
the glass is so clean-it doesnt attract dirt

i guess it might help if i revert to tapwater and use a lot detergent
for trad   but then theres a lot of extra detailing to do

Yes that's a good point. So in a way it's good to be trad...dirtier quicker means my services are needed more often....at least that's the theory 8)
