make sure it is the right resin mb40 or equivalent , some resins are designed to work within a specific range and you will never get them down to zero, also make sure your handheld tds meter is functioning correctly.

Some times they need calibrating, I would buy a second meter from a different scource so you can check them against each other.

If you are only getting a reading of 2 through a 30l vessil, I reckon it has to be 100% your tds meter,

Don't know if this helps but I've got a tap reading of 386.
I have the pure freedom 300gpd unit and it comes out of there at between 14-16 ppm and then the resin takes it down to '0'

The comment about the TDS meter may be the answer. Is there a fellow WFPer whose water is at zero who could check it for you?

Yeh it might be that. ill shop around for some mb40 resin. When i checked my tds to my mates inline tds. his read 30 and mine read 15, this was checking his water. I didnt know whos was right i assumed it was mine with the digi hand held being more accurate than inline. Ill sort it for next week. cheers Dave and all for advice.

Not surprise window washers. I'm in biggleswade and it sometimes hits the 500 mark. Same at my parents house in Bedford.

Hardest water in the country. But still goes to 6ppm through ro and 000 through resin. So no matter.
