It should be zero. You can work ok with it, I have up to 10! But it should come through at 000ppmYou need an inline TDS meter, get a reading of water after RO and before resin, so you can check if it's your RO or your resin. While you're finding the answer 003 is good for working all day
What TDS is your water before entering the RO?

How big is you DI vessel because it could be your DI vessel is too small and the flow through it is too high thus making no impact.
My lowest reading to date is 003. I wasted so much pure water when i first bought my system thinking the reading had to be 000 i was constantly flushing out the system cos i thought there might be some chemicals still in the system. I even threw away my first lot of resin thinking it could be contaminated untill i spoke to a local commercial cleaner who says his reading is about 008 and sometimes higher. But i still wont be happy till i hit the 000. Is it down to;1. mains water not great? (i think Anglesey water is ok)2. Resin no good? Is resin resin or can you buy better quality?3. Cheap ro unit? (currently using pure freedoms)Or is it all of the above? What reading does everyone else get?
