Have you considered waterproof socks instead as they are waterproof and breathable?

I always use 'dubbing' to waterproof my boots. It has the added advantage of softening the leather up on the boots too over a long period of time. Old army habits die hard I suppose

or similar.  They are the best you'll get if you want warmth and total weatherproof.  You'll pay over £100 but mine now need replacing after 6 years!  Cost me about £20 a year, and they are great for walking in any conditions, you could walk through a river and your feet will stay dry

i bought a cheap pair from ebay £28 steel toe caps they are heavy but you get used to them after a while and your lef get stronger, looking forward to winter with my thermal socks and warm dry boots

I've got two cheap pairs of "waterproof boots" that basically arn't so i wear one pair and dry the other. False economy really, still Christmas is coming!

You get what you pay for when it comes to good footwear. In my experience you would need to pay at least £80 if you want something that is gonna keep your feet dry for a few years.
You can get waterproof for £50 and less but they need regular respraying. But once they start getting wet, you will end up spending more on spray than you would on a (generally) more expensive boot over a few years.

my feet are always dry, and i walk through puddles generally it is the case, but if you keep your eye open on ebay you can get some good cheap bargains!
