Hi m.b.s

The website is undergoing maintenance and has been temporarily suspended until tomorrow.  You can ring Kirsty on 01726 61143 and leave a message which will be acted on first thing Monday morning.

We are actually in the process of upgrading hence being closed today (Saturday 20th) for orders.

I have looked at the Oscommerce project many times but do not like the software or the stores that it produces. Whilst they're all singing and all dancing they are cluttered and can be hard to navigate.

We are always interested in comments on how we can improve our website. If you have any more specific comments on the website then please feel free to email me your critique of it, I really would be most interested in your comments.

Two members of our firm lectured local government for many years on the use of the Internet and website based commerce. One point that affects actual sales is simplicity (how quickly you can buy a product) and ease of use, which is what we have always tried to achieve with our website. Our old site did not look the most glamorous or flashiest but currently ranks (visitor numbers) above every other WFP suppliers (apart from one linked to a forum) website in this country. We get enormous customer feedback on how much they like using our site, nearly 50% of those who place an order leave a comment on how good the site is.

Also the choice of commerce software is very important as the current shop is electronically linked with invoice software, stock monitoring and accounting packages. None of this comes cheap but we feel that it is worth it in the long run.

Silenced me I think not, I was busy playing with my new wfp toys, My comment was not slating Alex's site far from it, Alex is a pro and takes all comments onboard, I gave my comment and alex replied to it, I understand what he says about OScom but there are many skins available, also there are many other software packages available for e commerce sites as alex well knows, I am glad it is being upgraded, Alex when it is done I will send an email for you because at the end of the day anyones comments good or bad can only be an asset if used correctly. 50% of people leaving positive feedback for the site is great.
