« on: October 16, 2007, 08:50:13 pm »
work is picking up and i am thinking of employing someone.
have any of you had a similar experience and did it work out for you?
my big concern is,if we get hit with lots of rain do i still need to pay an employee even thogh he is not working?
do i have to pay holiday and sick pay etc?

I've tried a couple for the odd day. Bit of a disaster.

To be an employer takes a certain type of person
Not everyone works the same as you in my experience they work at 50% pace to me and with a lower quality some just dont seem to care you constantly need to watch them motivate them and in some cases you have to wipe their noses
Unfortunatly it didnt work for me but many on here do employ with great success
I now earn more since going back to being a sole trader and without all the stress
Best to try it for yourself and be prepared for stress best of luck
