do i need an ro filter?

been quoted for a full system this week and its due to be fitted on wednesday but it really is stretching my budget so could i save money by not getting the ro filters, the website for checking water hardness says i'm in a soft water area so do i need a di resin and ro filters, please help me guy's the money i could save could be better spent elsewhere, van, advertising. thanks

If your in a soft area u can get by with di resin filters but it will still be more expensive in the long run. Its hard to find a 25litre sack of resin for under £80 after vat and del.
