Can't see what part of the country you're in but here in Essex I've set myself a minimum price of £10 per job per month and I've found people in general are quite happy with that. If they want them doing every two months I add on £3. Went out the other evening and picked up bout £150s worth in bout two hrs just canvassing. Took down all those 'not in' and will call again sometime.

Well done mate!!  :)

I don't care what anyone says but there is a big price difference between areas. £6 may sound cheap to some on here and it probably is for their area.

My only advice is to make a note of the houses where you don't get an answer and go back to them in a few days after leaving them one of your flyers on the 1st visit. This way you will build as compact a round as possible from the start. Another tip is to clean any new customers on a Saturday if you can. This way a lot more people will see you as many are out during the week.

I have a question for you. You got 5 new customers but how many did you quote for? If you got every one you quoted for then you probably are too cheap for your area. I get around 60% of the jobs I quote for and in general this will mean you are getting the max possible for your area. EG. 5 at £6 = £30    60% of that = 3.6 jobs if you are at £10 per clean so for only 3 jobs you would get £36. I hope this makes sense.  :)

Brighnclean's advice is excellent. I've tried it all in the past and still do when I need to, and it works, especially the working on a Saturday in new territory.

I had a friend, that many years ago I advised similarly in respect of working out the best price for work and he completely ignored the advice and went in at half the price of other window cleaners in the area. Trouble was in the end he had three times too much work because he was so cheap and he was working himself into the ground trying to keep up with it all. He could have afforded to lose two thirds of his round by putting his prices up to where they would have supported him better, but he wouldn't do it and he very nearly did work himself into the ground! Literally!

You have done the right thing setting yourself targets. Now keep records and compare results against targets when you need motivation.

So do you knock the door and give em a sales pitch or is it a straight "have you got a window cleaner?" I have been leafleting my area but havn't knocked the doors I guess I could knock the doors of the ones I have already leafleted and see if I get any response - do you ever get any that tell you to F off what are there reaction? As I know a lot of people dont like it?

Just one thing, you say you have a small round already. Will you be able to cope if you do manage to pull it off and suddenly in 16 days have 230 customers to service? I know I wouldn't be able to get round them all at my current snails pace.

I use a leaflet that the customers put in their window if they want a cleaner. I call back and give them a price. In two and a half weeks of 2 hours a night leafletting I have 90 new customers worth £1000. Not as dramatic a result you are looking for but not bad either so you can do it if you put the effort in.

Good luck to you, hope it goes well.

well done on gaining the custom , dont bother to canvass let the qualaty of work do that for you & the custy will recomend you . a good standard of work as resulted in more custom for me than what any flyer or door knocking ever did . keep your work good & you will gain poor work you will lose .

Think your putting alot of pressure on yourself, like people of said, get all them customers, you'll have a nightmare on first cleans.

I'm aiming to build days to £150, but have started by building £100 days and will add to them when i get faster, and get through the first cleans.

Get a part time job to ease the pressure off yourself

Have you got a Trolley system yet?

And are you saying you want 230 in 16 days?
