Hi Nathan,
Its Darren here, any chance you or Nathaniel are going to return my calls.

It would be nice of you to replace the £480 worth of work sometime in the near future after all you were quick enough to take the money!!

ditto here too
nathan i'm not going to mention the problem  on this forum (not yet anyway) but it needs to be resolved first before to continue to offer your services to others.

It seems like many of these "made to order" canvassing companies have problems fulfilling window cleaners requirements.

I was once thinking of becoming a canvassing company, but I don't think it's viable to be honest.

I think your right Andy, its all good and well when its going alright, but when it comes to giving money back or replacing lost work there seems to be a problem. stick to WC we know we don't have to give our money back! ;)

YES it does seem that most round builds cant fulfill us WC needs but I will look at whats on the table and go from there, as it happens we work in three of the areas that is for sell

Nathan!

1/ Are you acting as go between for a WC that is working the round now!

2/ has he been doing the round long!

3/ what are you asking for the round!

4/ does it involve any ladder work!

5/ whats the average price!

6/ how long does it take to complete £1275

7/ anyone else got any questions to help with buying this round!

Hi dave, I wasn’t going to spout my concerns on the forum but what the hell,
When I first met Nathan my impression was that he was a decent guy, I asked him to get me £150 worth  in a certain area I wanted to build on, this he did, infact it came to just over £150. anyway prior to doing the job I had 1 cancellation, 1 who flew off the handle because I did not clean the fronts as the back gate was locked (even though I rang the night before) so they complained that I should have cleaned the fronts only then cancelled.
Another sent in the cheque with a note saying thanx for the 1 off clean as requested but will not be needing your services again.
Another was well under priced (which is unusual for Nathan) and decided to go back to her old W/C (even though I told Nathan not to price a job if they already have a W/C)

I then got in touch with Nathan about another area I wanted this time start with £100,
He did this and deducted the amount of disputes from the 1st canvass but now we have a few disputes with this area,
In total I have a dispute of  £47 @ 2 times the amount paid in cash = £94-00
I rang/text Nathan we no reply, I then left him a message to contact me which he eventually did, he asked me to email him the disputes which I then did.
This was his  reply below:
………………………
Hi Jay,

Thanks for your email.

Before i deal with this, just to mention i gave you extra work both times, and extra £50 in hythe, and extra £12 if i remember in lee on solent, Total £62 now if £47 is cancelled then that should cover, as we always give extra when we can to cover any dud jobs.

For instance the hythe £25 you have cleaned once.

I wish to have a ongoing marketing commitment to you.

Please let me know if you understand my email and please have a read of the contract.

Regards

Nathan
……………………….
I did not asked for any extra work so I don’t see this should come in to it, he has since emailed me to say he will replace the work, so lets see what happens (up to now nothing heard)
Lets just hope he’s a man of his word?

I dont really think its a major issue i think you got extra work(not asked for but you took) this should cover the work lost??
I havent used any canvassing companies but if i did i would expect a few problems but if i was getting extra work off them free i would be chuffed and would take into consideration if i got problems.

Has for customers cancelling and saying it was a one off i get it at times when they tell me to my face they want a regular clean so i say when i quote that they must have three cleans if they cancel b4 they get a first clean charge!!

If your customer gave you tea and biscuits then deducted a pound from your fee, and said well you drank the tea and eat the biscuits, would you be happy ?

i dont really think that is the same, but i get were your aiming, maybe he should of said this is extra wotk just in case of any problems!!

This would then cover the jobs lost.

All im saying is i think you need a little leway(spelt wrong) we all know how customers can be they say one thing to you and another to someone else.

by the sounds of what happened he got all the work he paid for just some was given as extra work

Try another canvassing company if you have had problems. I have never had a problem with the service i get. It takes longer to get the customers canvassed, but i get quality, very well priced jobs. This way, i find that i dont get the not today customers and cancelations.

I had this once when i was working for another chap about 8 years ago. We turned up 8am to clean a b&b but it wasnt just a cup of tea and a biscuit it was a full english. She was bragging how good it was and offered us to sample it and tell her what we thought. When he went to collect the money she demanded it be done for free cos the 2 breakfasts were 8 pound and the job was 8 pound, he wasnt very happy. Ive learnt from his mistake and dont accept any food, tea or biscuits. Slows you down anyway! funny though.

(sorry back on the subject)
Why do you guys pay a canvasser to do it for you, it cant be cos you havnt got the time cos you wouldnt need the extra work in the first place. Even if i hated canvassing  i would hate wasting money more. How difficult is it, Hi can i give you a free quote to clean your windows.... yes! job done or no! ok sorry to have bothered you heres my card incase you change your mind.  Why dont you pay someone to wipe your arse aswell!
Just do it yourself!!

The shortfall of work was due to the usaul things started above.
