its the same length as my Unger 3 X 2M pole ( so just under 6 M ), exactly the same infact, it does my whole domestic round at 1st floor

cost me under 25 quid, i had the old unger end that was off a broken unger angle adaptor i had

Good input Ben,
 but you are right, use a light brush say 10oz max and they will last for years. Many also do frames and maybe this fact also creates wear and tear.

i go though them unger adaptors every about 6 months

that was the idea of having them removable on the pole, the end of the unger pole has the holes to attach what you like

im trying a plastic adaptor now, mainly as its lighter

oh and i ALLWAYS have a spare unger adaptor in the car, afterall, if it breaks, i cannot work for that day

I dont understand the point, a DIY pole?  Why bother?  To save how much cash?

What will be next, a DIY squeegee made out of copper pipes, saving you £15 on buying a new one?

Sorry but if you can't afford to go out and just BUY a decent pole, then you are obviosly doing something majorly wrong in window cleaning.

No offense but what a total waste of time on something.

the idea of the pole it its REALLY lightweight, it weight next to nothing

ive tried many poles out, ranging from unger to poles made specifically for the trade, i tried a pole out from a guy i know the other week, it was glass fibre and was heavy

the idea of this is to have a SUPER lightweight pole for 25 quid, how much would the same pole cost from other makers ?? ?? ?

i dont see why it looks crap, its got a few inches of unger pole with the brush attached at the top or 6M of pole, no1 looks at the end of the pole and thinks " that looks crap "

if its not your cup of tea, then just move along, no need to rubbish posts with remarks like " it looks rubbish"

for the record, i didnt report the post, as i find the people rubbishing idea's of others rather childish

I dont understand the point of buying a pole costing several hundred pounds when I can make one myself for 25 quid that does a perfectly good job for the needs I intend it for, what a complete waste of my hard earned cash! no offence intended tennet I'm just looking at it a different way.
I like Matts idea of the unger adapter, its easy and cheap to fix and you can add on different brushes or attachments easily. How many posts do you see on here where someone needs advice after snapping their expensive pole or breaking a clamp etc. ? It may not be for everyone but something you can make yourself and easily fix cheaply would seem to me to be a good idea.

I think there is a great feeling of satisfaction when you can knock something up so cheaply that even performs better than a manufacturers product. Ultimately yes if your willing to spend hundreds of pounds you are pretty much guaranteed it will work but not all of us are in a position to fork out that much and some of us don't want to. i cannot belive how light this pole is

its great and to the people who are usng heavy "water fed poles" think of spending 25 quid and trying 1 out, they really are great
