Pleased with myself ;)
« on: September 21, 2007, 07:44:44 pm »
I've had my WFP system for a month now, and I'm really pleased.... its been the first time in AGES I've got round all my work in a month!  ;D ;D ;D ;D Well, almost! Had about £90 quids worth to do today which I couldn't get to 'cuz it rained, but almost!  :) :) :)

I'm starting to get the hang of it I think. The first couple of weeks were a nightmare, first cleans were taking ages, and I felt like throwing the bl**dy thing off a cliff! But because I'm not up and down ladders all day and scrubbing leaded windows by hand, I've managed to work all day, pretty much every day.

This calls for a celebratory drink I think!  :P :P

I find the work hard and struggle a bit. I do about ten jobs a day and I ache afterwards.

Operations (actually doing the work) is my weak spot. I'm pretty good at the rest.

You will dude, dont worry  :) :) Trust me, you'll have days when you'll think its the bees knees... and you'll have days when its so insanely frustrating you'll just wanna chuck it off a cliff, but keep at it cuz it DOES work, and it works very well  :) :)

I certainly hope so, could do with some more work  ;D

But trad will never be forgotten methinks, ya can't beat it for insides, and I had a few little houses spaced out today that the reel wouldn't reach, did them by hand  :) Felt weird squeegeeing!  :P

Cheers matt  :)

VG, how long have you been wfp? The muscles get used to it after a while!  :) Is your pole and brush too heavy? My pole is just a budget starter one and is waaaaay to heavy. It does make me ache loads so gonna invest in a new pole and superlight brush when funds allow  :)

Try swopping arms now & again, when i started this it made all the difference.

wfp 8mths. Happy with my xcel 18' fibreglass plus vikans.

I'm always under pressure, usually time, because I only have a window of 6 hours to get things done.

The answer for me will be staff, i've tried a couple with mixed results. Had an hour untangling my reel because he's wound it in all on the same bit, then having him run up and down with it burnt friction hole in it and had to get cleantech to next day me a new one etc.

I broke my winder yesterday,£8 to have it re welded, go on tell me a new ones cheaper. Had to buy a new battery too 110ah up from 75 which had become eratic. My fault for not listening to Jeffs advice on chargers so I've had to halfords one of them too.

To save tangles I put my pole on the roof when I wind in. Today I drove home with it still there. Luckily it stayed there.

Apart from that (i'm a bit shambolic), at every other aspect of the job i'm a stand out money making machine and can't cope with the amount of work I generate.
