Thanks guys. I'll have to get the saw out then.Heard this thing about drilling a hole in the back of the swivel before but not 100% sure what you mean. If anybody has a picture it might clear things up a bit.Thanks again for your help.Simon.Hi simonHold the swivel & see how the ball could pop out of the socket in which it is held, the hole has to be drilled through the ball & socket so that when the pin is pushed through it will still swivel & pivot round the pin. if the hole & pin are put in the other way this would prevent the whole thing from swiveling. once you look you'll see what i mean.Tip- try to drill the hole as straight as possible, this will allow for a smoother action on the swivel once the pin is in place.tony
I think I understand now. You basically drill a hole through the bottom of the swivel or through the top, where the notches are that make it swivel and then put something there to hold it in place.Could you go all the way through top to bottom?K?Simon.
