Pole Questions?
« on: September 18, 2007, 05:42:26 pm »
Hi all,

I have been out doing WFP a couple of months now - I am using the 18ft 3 section fibreglass pole with 10" vikan brush, to be honest its not brilliant, the quick release bracket has come loose on the first section, tried to glue it down but still comes loose, at one point when extending it the thing came apart today, bit heavy too when fully extended, also could do with 1 a bit longer I had it fully extended today and was really struggling and stretching, and I also find it too long when doing downstairs windows when it is retracted, I also used it for fascia cleaning today and I think from what I have read on here I would be better off having 1 for dirty work and 1 for windows.

So I need a pole thats longer for heights and shorter for bottoms  ::)

Have any of you experts got some advise please? Im sure you have  ;)

Sorry for the s.a.
Andy

How long is the modular fishing pole when fully extended and how do you modify it into a WFP etc?

the ron thompson comes in at 18ft but i use it at15ft all day long  odd job i stick the final extension on,

http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/shop.html the plastic taper some super glue stick it onto the end of section 4 and bobs ure uncle, only use a light brush though,

if you want to make it a bit more rigid you can also use some expanding foam at the end stiffens it abit,

but you can get ureself a complete pole for ups and dows for 26.99 inc del, brush and taper  are about £10

where else  can you do that, and if you break it you can replace it cheaply aswell
