To get one, go to ionics website and request a brochure. They now have your address, you should get the next issue. No money involved. That's how I got mine. I presume. they come out of the blue and they are ionics adds now.

I know it's part of ionics, i just received issue 10, but haven't had 5-9. I was one of the orginal subscribers to the mag.

Guess i'll take it up with Ionics, although i dont expect much joy...

cheers

Got a free one sent in the post the other day - never asked for it.

It is complete PAP !! Fact - no credibility at all IMO.

WHY ?

1) Because a manufacturer finances it.
2) Thay had an interesting , or so I thought, article comparing poles

Result.

Best two poles by miles were said manufacturer

Oh dear - Your a nice bloke Phil - but how you put your name to that, I don't know. How embarrassing !

That's not really fair. There obviously wasn't enough subscribers to keep it going. Why shouldn't he tow the bosses line? That's were the money comes from. Its now free, so how can you possibly moan? Just treat it as an advert. And too be honest, the photos in the test said all they needed to. the ionic poles were the best.

And I don't have an ionics system btw

It wasn't free for me. I paid £25 for 1 issue. Still, once bitten twice shy and all that.

Anyone can write a article for the mag, Phil has said on more than ond occasion that he would welcome any articles for the mag.

How about someone writting a article about a diy system they had fitted in there van, and how cheap it is compaired to a supplier bought one  ;D

Then list where you got all your parts from

It's a trade journal - supposedly.

I didn't mention about whether it was free or not

That was said tongue-in-cheek - I hope  :o

Well, i have only ever used Brodex Poles and still have the Original 45' pole i bought almost 4 years ago.

Cant fault them at all, great equipment and even better prices and i'm not biased, Just say it as i see it, I know peeps who have used Ionics poles and switched to Brodex for the service and price.

Grondhog, whats up with you man! if you think Brodex poles are crap, wow. A hundred other people on here might love them, whats the point!! TO MANY OPINIONS.

Some of these topics latley are getting a little childish its like some on here just love to whinge and moan about anything sometimes even stuff they know nothing about. Do you know I hate ferrari drivers but that doesn't mean to say that I wouldnt love to drive or own one!

Tell me this, why when I look around at some members sites here all I see is "Reach and Wash this" and "Reach and wash that" and a picture of some dodgy looking setup held in with straps!! I see IP Infringement everywere I look, for a brand that allot of you, for some strange reason TRY to put down? Now I go back to what I said earlier about Ferrari's.

I Will also like to add that we probably wouldnt be here now talking about wfp if it wasnt for OTT. I doubt Tucker could of done what OTT/Ionics did for the industry.

The magazine is a very good read. I for one enjoy reading it, as Im sure alot of you 'lets join the moaners club' do.

I agree, some of the stuff is very useful although it is biased towards Ionics own products, i wasnt complaining about the content, just the poor service, i paid for 4 issues and don't see how thats justified by only receiving one.

To date, still no answer from Ionics, Now there is a surprise.

I enjoy reading it, Its cost me nothing.

Ionics won the Pole test in the mag. So I had a look at Gardiners web site last night as I know they have tested all the poles they supply just to see if ionics where the best on their tests.

Suprise Suprise Gardiners had removed all their test data on Ioincs polesdue to Ionics asking them to deleate the information.

If ionics poles are that good they would of been the winners. I dont know how good they where in gardiners tests as I never looked when the information was freely available.

Are Ionics c/f poles the most rigid? I dont know.

I had a good belly laugh reading moving from Trad w/c to wfp via Leasing equipment and van. If only it was as simple as Ioincs paint it to be.

that was funny, not the moving to WFP, just the time scale  ::) ::)

this post is funny, you have the people who can see whats what and you have the 'fan-boys' who really are sold the idea of ionics and will not see anything else
