hello again

Hi,

i joined the forums last year wanting to start up W/C but been working for the past year driving - as my job will be ending soon i am still struck on the idea of W/C but only have the tools for traditional method, i would like to try WFP method but cannot afford it at the moment.

I have a triple ladder but find it bulky - i do know my mother inlaw has a double ladder so when i see her i'll take a look at it see if it's not so bulky.

I'll be posting allot more too for any help or advice, cheers.

   Im a trd w/c so i cant help with all the wfp Q's , But im sure i speak for all the
   wfp cleaners here when i say anything you need to know just ask :)
   
   Im looking to get into wfp in the future ... i dont post much i just read

Not much in your profile .
 If you fill in your details maybee someone who is WFP in your area will invite you out for the day to try out there system with them.

If you live near me in Fleetwood you could come out with me for the day and have a try at Water fed pole work

i'll add some details to my profile, i live in Nottingham.
I would like to try traditional with someone first then go from there - once i get more
customers in time i may well have enough money to buy a WFP.

I don't have allot of confidence at the moment in my life but hopefully get there.

yes - i used to have a small round 11 years ago but haven't done it since.
I bought a few bits the other day and practiced on my house.

no none yet - i haven't gone out yet posting leaflets and doorknocking until i feel more confident and have the right gear.

I'm in no rush but would love to have a small round to do, not making lots of cash but to give me something to do. Who knows maybe i might make allot of money from it if i stick at it.

I could do with helping someone for a few days to show me the ropes again.

If i was you i would get myself something for the weekends..  whilst doing your day job... then your custies will just go up and up... if your work is good ofcorse.. the soon enough you will be able to go full time :)

also the way i used to do windows was use my Tbar then squeegee it off using down strokes and then
dry the edges with a leather.

I have read about using the squeegee to take about 2 inch off the top then wipe the blade then every down stroke wipe the blade again. And then do detailing with a dry scrim which i have bought a couple of.

go on www.youtube.com mate and type in window cleaner  ... you will get a idea of how window cleaning is done with a a squeegee...

nice one.....i can do that a bit but with me having a 12inch squeegee sometimes on smaller windows it can be hard to do that way so on smaller windows just do the basic way and larger windows i will use the S stroke. i will have to get a few more squeegee sizes.  :)
