springs in hand tool
« on: October 21, 2004, 09:14:37 pm »
I have a 4" Ashbys hand tool and about every six months the spring in the trigger breaks/corrodes,
apart from contacting Ashbys direct is there anywhere i can get springs rather than buying the whole plunger mechanism?
P.s its a pmf type.

Pay a visit to a local engineering company, they will have springs of all shapes and sizes, You will want an entex spring i imagine.

Tried ashbys last time they would only send me the whole plunger mechanism & not just the spring, which is ridiculous as you end up paying for something you dont really want plus a silly delivery charge.

Cheers phil for your co-operation..........not!

Where do you go if you want somthing small.

Same applies to jets which you have worried me into replacing just in case.

Carriage charges could be as much as product.

Bob
We were in bed last night and the Mrs said
"Are you eating crisps in bed again"
I said "I'm not eating crisps I'm just taking me pants off"
