Hi jampot

Alex is working but have you tried contacting who you got the RO Unit from?

flush valve should be closed
flush valve open = slow produced pure
flush valve shut  = faster produced pure

Can't make your pic out it's too small, can you make it bigger so we can see?

This is the best advice you'll get on this.

Flush valve closed for production.

You have what looks like a 100-200gpd unit.

This will produce between 200-600 litres per 24 hour day, 8 - 25 litres per hour, depending on your input pressure etc.

Leave the valve closed for production.

The waste is meant to 'gush' out and the product will only be a dribble but it will add up.

Take a measuring jug and a stopwatch and see how much it produces in 1 minute, if it produces 130ml per minute then you are on the bottom end of the production range.

Is it from purefreedom? If so it is the same as mine and the pure production is very very slow compared to the waste.
I got a booster from Gardiners and that speeded up the production

I have 300gpd RO.
Without a pump it would take 8 hours to fill up a 220 litre water butt.
With booster pump it takes 4 1/2 hours.

Or better still, send it back & buy 2 11ltr DI vessels for 100quid.
End of all problems & simple, pure water on demand & a full tank in 20 mins from tap.nice :)

But the other day jampot quoted his tap tds as being 82ppm. mine is 90ppm & i use less than 2 bags per year with a 400ltr van mount!
With the knowlage of how to make resin last + the above set up using DOWEX resin he'd be laughing all the way ;)

Unless you were to use 1000ltrs a day, every day, i wouldn't even consider an RO with your tap tds.
Trouble is, is that everyone thinks that they must have an RO (wrong) & that if they dont it will cost them hundreds per year in resin ( couldn't be more wrong ).
If you want to know anything else dude let me know. keep it simple. if you go the 2xDI route, virtualy nothing can go wrong & nothing to maintain (apart from the odd resin change)
