wet leg

Dose anyone else suffer with a leaky ballvalve?I use a belt holster for the tap part,its not gushing just a drip now and then but over a 10min job its made my leg damp.
Tryed PTFE tape and no good,it leaks from the female end.
I use microbore with metal fitting.

can anyone help or advise

Mine are 100% water tight.

They can wear out depending how rough you are with them. I just change to a new valve when this happens.

Their are a lot of diffrent valves out there so its just a case of trying diffrent types to find which your happy with. heres a a pic of two diffrent valves I use. Both watertight and no leaks.

I have regular hosepipe and use some heavy duty ball valves I got from Pertex,  they are brilliant and don't leak a drop.

Neil why don't' you use O ring clips they are a lot kinder on your skin than jubilee's.

I used to use o clips. But if you ever need to cut the hose down if its leaking due to a puncture its a lot faster working with a jubilee clip.

I dont slide my hands over the jubille clips so its not a problem.
