Insurance renewal help!
« on: October 14, 2004, 01:42:08 pm »
Hello fellow clean it uppers

I have had my insurance renewal in and at a cost of £493.50 i was wondering if anyone could put me on to someone cheaper?

This cost covers all liabilitys inc public employers etc, also treatment risk up to £5000 per item and equipment loss up to £5000.

Any help will do

Thanks Nick

If you are working on a suite and knock over some chemical and it damages the suite its an accident, the insurance will pay out , if you are working on a suite and damage it or knock over your chemical that can be bad workmanship. full treatment risk will cover this as well as accidental.

Hope this answers the question, most insurers will not discuss full treatment they just keep quite and take the premiums.

Dave

are you sure it's 2mil treatment risk cover this is highly unusual if it is.
Mine is due for renewal soon I'll be ringing HSBC I think. ;)

As for tools/machinery not many cover this when its on the vehicle which of course where they are always going to be ::)

I too use HSBC and cover is for £2m treatment and public. Beware that the standard policy will only cover you for full time employees. Part time and occasional workers are an add on.

Remember, if you employ someone, even to do the pre-vac or fetch a bucket of water, no matter who and whether you pay them or not, even for 1 minute per year, then they are employees of some description. So you are legally obliged to have Employers Liability. BIG trouble if you don't.

Safe and happy insuring:)
