covering windows

Hi
can anyone advise me on a material that is suitable for covering windows during the construction process and if im not being too cheeky the process of putting on and taking off. I am planning on offering this service as I only get called after the damage has been done. Although I am not to blame for the damage and have told the customer I hate walking away from a job that has scratched windows.
Cheers
