The reason I dont want to use resin is because I use a backpack............

My tank in the van is full with 000ppm water and I have a submersible pump in it to fill up my backpack in seconds!!!!

If i was to fill the van tank with tap water and di it as I use it, I would have to use my shurflo pump to fill it and that would take ages!!!!!!! (I've done it  )

Clear Vision, my setup will be one person on a van mount, another on a backpack, I will be purifying onboard ( 2x di vessels  ). I could purify at home instead ( 34 tds ). So how do you fill your backpack up that fast from a tank of 000 ppm ? Luke

25L in 3 hours is about half the amount you could be getting from the system.

It is all about water pressure, if you can get the pressure up you will produce water faster, the TDS in the water will be lower, and you will have less waste.
You could check to make sure all the mains pipe taps are fully opened, the ones that supply your feed tap.  Failing that a booster pump is an option.

If you are happy with the amount you produce, in the time it takes to produce it, then carry on the way you are.  If in the future you need more water, or water faster, then add a booster.

12v submersible pump with a 1" outlet and about 2m of 1" hose coming from it.

15-20 secs max to fill it.

Your tds is 34?

Same as me  ;D

Does your system have a 1/4 pipe?  If so there is connectors that screw onto a garden tap and have a quick connect connector to take the 1/4 pipe.

Clear Vision, i have heard of people using just some sort of tank outlet or something ( I think ) without the need of a pump, and filling the backpack up in a few seconds from there van tank, Luke

Maybe,

But.........

It would have to be a big outlet and the backpack would have to be lower than the water level when filling up. You would prob have to sit it on the road.
