That's 200 ltr per day, don't seem bad, I get 400 ltr per day out of a 200 GPD set up

Oh yes I do!

Far far cheaper than ressin.

Mike at cleatech worked it out I would go through 2 sacks of resin a year! :o

Thats over £120 per year.

I bought my ro for £79.99

Just changed the filters after 18 months for £20

Quids in already ;)

I would get about 57 - 60 litres in the same amount of time - but mine is 300 gpd.  Looks like you're doing OK.

You have to be joking ??? you can't possibly neglect ALL the benefits of pure water on demand for the sake of less than a hundred quid per year :o

The other point joe is that the method for working out how much pure water an amount of resin will make is missleading, as using 2 DI units in sequence & shaking the vessels when tds rises more than doubles it's usable life. this is certainly the case with dowex resin. It's unreal how long dowex will hold a low tds reading for. I have one 11ltr vessel that hit 001 tds about 6-7 weeks ago & (with shaking) is still only reading 005 & is pre-filtering the new vessel.

Guys o guys o guys!

I dont run resin along side my ro. Just ro on its own.

The reason I dont want to use resin is because I use a backpack............

My tank in the van is full with 000ppm water and I have a submersible pump in it to fill up my backpack in seconds!!!!

If i was to fill the van tank with tap water and di it as I use it, I would have to use my shurflo pump to fill it and that would take ages!!!!!!! (I've done it >:( ;D)

I also like to be on a job without having to worry about resin rising. I always know I have 000ppm water with me.

I know ro is slower to produce but for me its easier.

I hope you can see MY point for filtering my water that way?

 ;)

P.S joe, i'll sort you out when you come up this way!! ;D
