Hi All,

Hope you can help me out !!, I want to get a water fed pole system but im still very confused as to what company to go for and what size tank to buy and poles for that fact??? as all the suppliers ta the show said i needed different things 

 so I though I'd ask you guy's as you are all now experienced in what to buy and  what not to buy.

could you guys all list your size & make of systems and rate them out of ten, along with the work you carry out with them plus how long your system lasts a day?

As I'm dreading making a mistake when buying the kit as it its still quite expensive.

Yeah sure here goes....

300 Gpd RO Unit makes just over 1000 litres every day more that enought.

1000 Litre Holding tank.

24ft Pole brought extra section to make it 30ft which ill say your need for 2nd floor. You dont have to buy another pole like other companies just buy sections for it.

50 litre Trolley i use approx 18 litres per house ( 3-4 bedroom ) so lasts 3 houses approx.

4ft Pole great for whipping round ground floor.

I brought all this from Ominpole.

I also brought 15 25 litre water barrels to load the van up with i got these from Clean tech. Also i carry a unger pole for attching a scrapper for grim on 1st floor windows that wfp will not remove, well it will but its faster doing the scrapper.

I do a mixture of work, but manily domestic work from small bungalows to massiver farm houses. I do some 2nd floor flats aas well ( 30ft Pole ) i also brought the added attachments for the pole ie pressure washing and gutter cleaning. I am very happy with it all and works well for me, only thing i could do with is a bigger van to carry more water as that can be a pain sometimes if you run out and need to return back to base to refill. Only down side it liftinf the trolley in/out the van, but you can make a ramp or somehing if you wish and all trolleys will be the same.

Apart from the odd bit here and there ( ie blade, applicator, boab ) thats all you need really. Running costs i forgot about i change all my ro cartridges approx every 6 months and my resin one every other month or when the tds reading gets to 009 ppm. Forgot best to get a TDS meter from Ebay as there only £15-£20 each.

Ps Just to add sometimes you might need to use a higher flow rate for some jobs ie first clean which will mean you use more water, other jobs your need a lower flow rate so less water.

Forgot to say. Takes about an 1hr every day to load and unload the van and refill the water barrels up. So its not a 10 min job ladder on roof rack and bucket of water job. Time could be abit faster if i had a transfer pump and i did not unload the van, but theres no way i am keeping all my gear in there over night.

Just like to say that if you want really good equipment and value
4 money and great after sales service then go to CLEANTECH 4 everything!!
I bought a system from somewhere else and I had nothing but trouble with it but MIKE from Cleantech was kind enough to sort it out 4 me.
What ever U do make sure that the after sales service is up to scratch because if U don,t then it will probably be to late after U bought it.

I bought my WFP from Cleantech as mentioned above.
Started off with trolley system , little 25 ltr drums , had to continually fill up , a nuisance really but it enabled me to see that the actual pure water system did work. Still have it for back up or for any akward jobs to come.Quickly realised you need a van mounted system.
My Scudo van has 250 ltr tank , ( could easily take 500 ltr):  6 ,18 & 35 ft poles. Simple soft water sytem. Covers all the work I need.
With my Cleantech system , no need to fill containers ,as water is purified on van. So simply fill up tank using your or a customers garden hose any time you run out
Cleantech will provide a soft or hard water system for you and to back up what was said , the service and advice was first class.
What system you will need depends on kind of customer you have.
Personally I feel if most of your work is domestic with some commercial work, then the Cleantech or similar type of company will be sufficent for your needs and it will be 30/50% cheaper than some others.
But if you feel you require a more professional system that also looks the part, based on what I saw at Windex, then go for Ionics system. It will cost you a lot more money , but with 0% interest on some systems , it will work out a good deal.
I plan to buy an Ionics 30 ft pole that although coming in at over £500 , is incredibly lighter than poles provided elsewhere as well as having a seemingly better brush than the others. Will make really make some jobs a lot easier.
Seems to be the leading brand , the official  "Reach and Wash" brand name and excellent logo to match , very professional,a good investment, that I would like have to have if business keeps on improving .
but also If you decide to go for a cheaper option then I could certainly recommend Cleantech although good idea to get Ionics poles if you can .
Speak to both , tell them your requirements , I`m sure they will help you.
Sorry cant help you with logistics etc .
I keep it simple,: fill up tank for work in morning . re-fill up when empty.

Thanks guy's for your response you are a credit to the forum !!

I think that these kind of case studies if you like are very beneficial to me and other newbies looking into the WF systems as there is now so much choice that it can become confusing especially with the sales pitches that come with them.
maybe it's me I don't trust salesman so hearing it from you guy's really helps.
