More problems...

I heard the pump running while I was in a shop, and when I opened the back door a load of water came out.

It was definately switched off at the controller, and the pump had stopped.
I wouldn't have packed it away and shut the door otherwise.

Once I found it buzzing away and trickling water though, I couldn't stop it.
I had to disconnect the battery.

What's the matter with it now? :
If it wasn't for the fact I make more money (per day) using it, and have to because of my arm, I'd dump it.

What with that and the broken pole it's doing my head in lately.
8 out 10 customers preferred the old way too.
I've lost so much work that I'm actually worse off over the course of the month.

Squeaky i`m not trying to have a go at you about how you clean with WFP mate but to be honest if used correctly and the customers are told to look at results once dried there shouldn`t be any problems,the system works and i find that most of the time bad results are down to user error not all the time i know but more often than not.It`s either that or you have a lot of problem houses.

Well that's the thing, I am!
I'm much happier working this way, but I wish there wasn't so many problems.
I can't afford them.

My work consists mainly of old bags or scabby windows.
That's my problem.

No, I mean a manual flow valve.
It's definately shut, but the pump doesn't stop.

Sounds like your pressure switch has stuck open. One way to cure this is to give the pressure switch a good sharp tap with a hammer, this can often have the effect of freeing the spring inside. I had it happen to me a couple of months ago, it hadn't happened for at least 2 years previously.

A tap with the hammer?  Sounds like the Escort starter motor again.
I don't know about your pump problem Rog but that stuff about losing customers and it doing your head in was where I was in the first few months of WFP.  My first year turnover with WFP was actually a tiny bit less than the previous year trad as I had a few teething troubles and some of the custies were a pain about WFP.
This year, I reached my best years turnover level only today and my year isn't over until 30/9.  And I've had loads more time off too.  If I had filled the gaps sooner it would have been at least a 50-60% turnover increase.
I'm saying this because I know it can take a while for it to start coming good.

or you are more then welcome to come to us for a half day , you can only learn where you are going wrong??

i`ve got poss 2 in a 100 that don't like it so I think that you have not got the right spiel
to sell your stuff.Scabby old bags my favourite conversion no problem or they go! . Just replace all the crap with even much better stuff you know sell the product and yourself , and if your vans not signwritten who the hell is going to guess
Make £10 min charge and stick to it regardless we did and it does work

How can I dump work when I've been off all week with nothing due? :
I'm struggling to pay the bills now, and ANY work is better than no work.

When I'm full (like I was before) then I can replace work.
