tea or coffee?
« on: July 13, 2007, 08:34:52 pm »
not totally wc related but just wondering if many of you have a drink of tea or coffee while working?  I've tried it this week and found it slows me down.

I always carry plenty of water, but I dread some of the tea and coffee that some of my customers make, especially when they stand there chatting and watching you drink it so that you can't tip it in the nearest plant pot.

I only ever accept tea if it is offered at the start of a job. Some come out as you are finishing & offer & then proceed to take ages to make it. Don't have the time to wait these days.

I drink neither.
For 10 years I suffered too often with my guts.  About four months ago I finally found out why.  My body is intolerant of tea or coffee.  I just drink water or fruit squashes now.  Bad guts is not a good thing to have when you work outdoors with no facilities.  I feel like I've got my life back.

Water as you can drink it down and get moving before you get involved in a convo.

thanks for the replies guys, I always wondered what the rest of you do as I have found it slows me down.  With saying that the Red Bull sounds like a good alternative!

so does the beer

I take a flask out with me and have some coffee as I drive from house to house. In summer I take a bottle of water out as well. I never accept a drink off the customers. I learned that lesson early on.

Hi All,

I usually plan my "Good" customers around break times ;)

Coffee usually, but this customer makes the best Tea out ;D

And she makes it as I start so I can drink as I go ;)

Two red bulls on the way to work always does the trick.
it would be nice just to be offered a tea or coffee these days, saying that, I don't drink either, but it would be good to refuse it now and then
