I have been w/c now for the past 3 yearsself employed and have just started giving my customers terms and conditions....

Some of them are happy to take it but some say "Do I have to sign it "

where do I stand with t/c not signed... Or should I get them to sign and should I keep a copy for myself...

I personally just "have" them for guidance & the first line of my T&C's says by using us you agree to our T&C's Blah d Blah d blah, I don't give them out or get them to sign on all my cleaned slips it states at the bottom T&C's apply, then leave it up to them to find it cos its on my website for all to see ,If they have no PC then they can always ask for a copy

if you tell your customers that you have t/c and they still agree to have you cleane their windows, I think that is an agreement to you t/c if they read it or not

I would just put that accepting the service will be deemed as accepting the T & Cs.  For domestic work I believe that would be enough for me.  I'm not after some written in stone, legal quagmire.  I just want to focus their attention on how I work, what they can expect from me, and what I expect from them.  I would make it very clear on there that the T & Cs only exist because of the occasional bit of p taking by customers and that they are only there to ensure fair treatment both ways.  Obviously I would word it better than that though.
