Oooh, over shoes, I like that, never thought of that one before
I have been known to kick my shoes off, not a pleasant thing to experience, when I get back to my shoes I have to fan away a cloud to be able to get near them
Mind, I have always wondered why the customer has never bothered me as I have wandered from room to room......they alway seem to be in a different one!
Seriously though:
Experiment with different methods, I have, if the windows were not to dirty, used a hand held sprayer and misted the glass and then squeegee'd them. Very little mess indeed.
Or as was said in a previous reply to your post, don't have your applicator too wet, and as you squeegee, hold the applicator below the squeegee and it will catch any drips and excess water.
