thats not true :) you cant put a Tucker on a vikan thread, also most household brushes wont go on a vikan thread. Threads seem to very random, some things do fit some dont

Vikan use one of the industry standard threads.  This is classified as a German 'D' thread.  There are seven other types of thread as well as the Acme thread (popular on decorators tools).

Different manufacturers will often use different thread types for different brush products depending on the market that they are aiming for.
