As Chris said you can, but personally I dont. If you do use a FSC, just be careful of how you start, when you pull the trigger, as you can easily mark the deck. Try setting the FSC at an angle and lower it slowly as not to mark/damage the wood.

thanx roger i thought there might be some issues with the deck getting marked. i might just play it safe and stick to using the lance. or maybe still use the whirl-a-way but keep the revs down on the pressure washer

yes dont use the tubro lance. turn the pressure down or the machine revs be very carefull.been asked to restain some decking  after people have power washed them what a mess.

Yes i agree, if you do use a lance be very careful, roger is the man to talk to regarding wood and decking, we have many of his before and after pics on our site, they really are something.

I read somewhere you can damage your petrol pressure washer lowering the revs, you should always adjust the pressure and keep the machine at full revs.

You should really use the adjuster numpty if you have one on the underloader valve, bear in mind as you reduce pressure either was you reduce flow so the fsc wont spin as fast if to low won't spin at all

i dont think my pressure washer has a way of adjusting the pressure. the only way to do it is by lowering the revs. i am new to this game though so i could be wrong

Thank you very much Dave, doing wood is not about pressure, I have done decks before with my chemical wash and a hosepipe, IE roof top gardens at 2nd 3rd floor levels etc where getting a machine in is impossible.
