New website to find work for window cleaners
« on: July 04, 2007, 10:38:26 pm »
I am thinking of starting a website for window cleaners to find each other, or should I say find work from each other.  Would anyone be interested in such a site?  Sort of a recruitment site for sole traders and main contractors to "meet".

It will be free to use if I can find a sponsor.

Maybe the lads from Express Cleaning could sponsor it!!  Was a website programmer for a short while before the work dried up so should have no probs doing it.

Opinions please.  But dont go nicking my idea.  This post is evidence to prove it was my idea!!!!.  Then again, not bothered if anyone else would rather do it to save me a job

I mean more like a search site. I dunno, you maybe right.

Would main contractors look on here though?  Most work is just rounds for sale

Hi Jack,

Firstly, your idea as you call it has been mentioned on this site years ago, but as pointed out already, why do all that when we all use this siate anyway and as you can see for yourself we all share work that we don't want or cover?

As for contractors and customers looking at a site to find a window cleaner. Well you can be the judge of that but be aware there are so many sites doing exactly this that I would ask is it worth it?

I understand your looking for a web based project but I wonder if this is the right topic?

Best of luck,

Trevor
