How fast can I make 200 Ltrs of RO?
« on: June 28, 2007, 11:44:15 pm »
This is going to sound a strange question perhaps, but I have not got a clue.

My problem is this, I live in a flat, ground floor.  At the moment I am shoving around 300TDS through a DI filter.  It isn't going to last long, but I can not run water for long periods of time.  The reason for this is that running water in flats make a fair old bit of noise, and I fear those around me would complain if there was a constant hisssss sound of water valves letting water through.  Also I really have no space to store lots of water.

So, what I really need to do is fill 200 Ltrs worth of barrels fairly fast, from RO to DI to barrels.  Is it possible or, forgetting the fact it is more expensive, would two DI cylinders be the only real solution?

only a thought, could you collect rain water in your van and then pump it through the di?

that being if you have a van and tank and so on so forth, could save ya some money...its not like we dont see much rain  ;D

nah, can't quite do that in my berlingo multispace :)

Got half a mind to shove a merlin in my actual flat pipe work so it will save the washing machine and kettle and all that jazz.
