Leisure Batteries
« on: June 27, 2007, 09:36:25 pm »
Hi All

I am in the process of fitting a 500 litre tank to my sons 800kg Berlingo. I would imagine that he could use most of that a day.
We are using a 100psi Shurflo pump with Varistream.
We now need to buy a leisure battery for it.

I currently use a 85amp leisure battery on my trailer with 375l but have found that sometimes the battery doesn't last the day, most noticeably during the winter, despite being charged overnight and supplimented with my van alternator during the day.

Have been thinking along the lines of a 120amph leisure battery supplimented by a Split Charger Relay but wondered
what experience others had.

Thanks

Never had a problem at all.

 :o It won't last a day??????? :o

I have a 75aph and it will last nearly 4 days in the summer and about 3 day's in the winter.

And it's not linked to my van battery!

I just forgot. It will probably last 2 weeks now as I only use it to fill up my back pack.
