Some houses have quite wide soffits,so if your talking facia ,gutter and soffit would be around £120 or without soffit around £90

My price start from £70, but it also depends how filthy they are.

I use the gutter lance so it doesn't take very long.

Last week i cleaned 3 bed house including con roof in just under 1.5 hours.

I did inside & out of gutters, Fascia, Con roof, rinced down the side of house and cleaned windows.

In that time i also had a 15 minute coffee break.

£120 for the lot. I'm happy with that ;D

I agree with you, Paul. Don't see how anyone can justify charging more than £40 per hour to ordinary customers (unless it requires the use of unusual/expensive machinery).  Occasionally, I've even been embarrassed and refused to take what I originally quoted when the job has not taken anywhere near as long as I had thought it would.  My concience wouldn't let me! Before anybody says I'm mad - I'm talking about ordinary 'domestic' customers here. I treat them the same as I'd like to be treated.

If you quote the customer a price and they are happy with it, then charge them the full price even if it doesn't take as long as you expected! They are paying for the job not your time... Otherwise you may as well just charge them an hourly rate!

Put it this way... If you quote a price for a certain job and it takes longer than you thought it would, what would the customer say if you tried to increase the price?

Don't forget - You're running a business!

Have to agree with Andy here.

The job i posted about above would have taken alot long if i was using ladders.

I have invested in a system that will help make my job easier giving good results.

I charged them £110 for the lot and they were that pleased with the results thay gave me an extra £10.
They also booked again for next year.

Another job i did last month was priced at £160. This took me 3.5 hours.
Again they have booked again but for this October.

If you give a price and do a good job then the customer will be happy.

A customer i picked up a couple of months ago told me i was over £200 more expensive than the cheapest quote they had.
They learn't there lesson by going for the cheapest price.

Remember your running a business

http://www.northerntooluk.com/products.asp?partno=22818E

It connects to a pressure washer - mine extends to 24 foot and got it from Varitech.

You can get the swan neck attachment to clean inside the gutter then remove it to clean the outside.
Depending how full the gutters are it doesn't make that much mess, but will always give the walls a rince after, then clean the windows wfp.
